This week, the team is excited to provide another opportunity to perform a Black Biz Swap. We all have cell phones so this is an opportunity to support a black owned business without upsetting your budget. As of now, we know of two cellular service providers - Figgers Communcations and Tesix Wireless. Both companies provide nationwide service that are priced competitively and sometimes cheaper than the big four providers.

I know it may be scary to try to an unknown cell phone company; however, most of these companies actually utilize the bandwidth of the large four providers so you will see the same coverage maps. I’ve personally been using an MNVO (Mint Mobile) for the last 3 months. Mint utilizes T-Mobile so I’ve had no issue around Atlanta. Once my current Mint plan is up, I will be jumping over to Tesix for a trial run.

Another awesome feature of both Figgers and Tesix is that you can also purchase devices directly from both companies. On top of that Figgers has released multiple versions of their signature F series phone. I personally tested out a Figgers F1 and found that the phone quality was top notch. Tesix is working on their first phone. We will definitely look to review their phone when it drops.

Once again, utilizing a black owned cellular service provider is an easy way to support a black owned business without adding an additional expense to your budget.
