For nearly ten years, we have designed our evenings to be felt as much as they are heard.. An intimate boutique listening room nestled in West Columbia's River District, Chayz Lounge is an award-winning destination where live jazz and curated experiences unfold in an elevated, unhurried setting. From sound to atmosphere, every detail is thoughtfully considered, creating a warm, welcoming environment felt the moment you arrive. Smith, Chayz Lounge stands as a modern salon where culture and refinement meet with intention. Curated by founder Chaye Alexander, each evening unfolds with thoughtful detail and soulful ambiance. Over the years, Chayz Lounge has welcomed some of the finest artists in contemporary jazz, soul, and poetry. Chaye Alexander
Often described as a modern-day tastemaker in the spirit of B. Smith, Chaye Alexander is an author, storyteller, and the founder and owner of Chayz Lounge, an award-winning boutique listening room in West Columbia’s River District. Her work is rooted in Sophisti-Soul, the lifestyle she created around beauty, intention, and soulful living, reflecting her belief that sophistication and soul are not opposites, but partners. Chaye has spent years redefining hospitality not as service, but as a feeling. With a signature style and an unwavering eye for detail, she creates environments where every guest feels they were meant to be there, weaving jazz, soul, and atmosphere into moments that echo far beyond the room. She is the founder of Chayz Lounge Radio, a 24/7 global streaming station where smooth jazz meets soulful sophistication, and the author of Earn The Return: A Musician’s Guide to Getting Gigs & Being Invited Back. Through Chayeology, her writing on Substack, she shares life lessons drawn from everyday moments. Her influence extends beyond the lounge, from shaping large-scale jazz and soul festivals to bringing intimate Listening-Room Experiences to select venues. Today, she guides entrepreneurs, creatives, and organizations as a Brand & Experience Advisor, offering clarity, perspective, and direction to help them create experiences people remember.
